Mozilla Seabird Concept

This awesome concept phone is design by Mozilla Labs community member Billy May. Ordinary mobile phone users might be looking just as far ahead as the arrival of Smartphone’s featuring multi-core processors, but Mr. May, who is willing to let his imagination soar as high as Smartphone’s with two Pico projectors.

Also available in 3D on YouTube

The Mozilla Seabird Phone was unveiled just recently on the Mozilla Labs blog. This is part of the Concept series project launched by Mozilla labs that intends to encourage interested contributors to share their ideas, expertise and vision for what the future of Mozilla, Firefox and the Web will be like.

It is quite noticeable that the Mozilla Seabird phone comes in an unusual shape, which basically looks like an upside down raindrop. It also offers a new input method as well. Located at the back of the device is a dongle that allows 3D and gesture input as well as haptic clicking. This dongle serves both as an earpiece and a controller for the phone.

In addition to these aforementioned specs, the Mozilla Seabird phone also comes with the following features:
  • An 8 megapixel camera
  • Dual side Pico projectors that allow its user to display a virtual keyboard
  • Wireless charging
  • A detachable embedded Bluetooth dongle
  • Mini USB which will allow for direct connection to PC
  • Infrared Touchpad Area
